Previously, URDE has had contact with twenty of the largest 200 companies in America. Due to significant interruptions in certain business transactions with those companies, URDE is working to restore it's contact base. URDE is also undertaking the process of recovering it's relationships with the United States State Department and those government organizations responsible for trade and industry.
Currently, URDE has collected information on more than 800 companies that are conducting the bulk of scientific and technology driven R&D.
URDE main objective for its American Division is the establishment of a system of field offices and professional groups throughout the United States and Canada. These offices and groups organized and managed by the former R&D executives (VP or Directors of the major US companies who are retired and now are private consultants, their extensive business connections and experience in a specific field qualify them for this task. The above mentioned offices and groups serve as the primary source of contacts with R&D companies and End users. The major function of these operations is to develop a close contact with appropriate R&D companies and develop a cliental base, participate in negotiations of any scientific and R&D contracts within their territory and technological field. They also coordinate the flow of work between US R&D companies involved and Ukrainian scientists and engineers (through Ukrainian division). Generally, there are supposed to be approximately 50 of these offices and professional groups.
In order to expand the company in the U.S. and Canada, URDE needs to create informational materials, traveling exhibitions, workshops, and fully equipped field offices that will better familiarize management of leading American companies with the potential of Ukrainian scientists and engineers.
